We’re seeking a driven and hands-on Small Works Commissioning Engineer to join a growing fire alarm team. This role involves commissioning small-scale fire detection systems across commercial and residential sites, ensuring high standards of compliance, safety, and functionality. Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning fire alarm systems on small works and modifications

  • Liaising with project managers, clients, and site teams

  • Ensuring systems are fully functional, compliant, and signed off

  • Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers when needed

  • Completing commissioning certificates and associated documentation

Requirements:

  • Previous experience commissioning fire alarm systems (e.g. Gent, Advanced, Kentec)

  • Strong understanding of BS5839 standards

  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Full UK driving licence

  • ECS or FIA qualifications are a plus – training will be provided if needed
