We’re seeking a driven and hands-on Small Works Commissioning Engineer to join a growing fire alarm team. This role involves commissioning small-scale fire detection systems across commercial and residential sites, ensuring high standards of compliance, safety, and functionality. Responsibilities:

Commissioning fire alarm systems on small works and modifications

Liaising with project managers, clients, and site teams

Ensuring systems are fully functional, compliant, and signed off

Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers when needed

Completing commissioning certificates and associated documentation
Requirements:

Previous experience commissioning fire alarm systems (e.g. Gent, Advanced, Kentec)

Strong understanding of BS5839 standards

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Full UK driving licence

ECS or FIA qualifications are a plus – training will be provided if needed
