Sales Design Engineer | Buckinghamshire | £45,000

The Role

As a Sales Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing bespoke system proposals and ensuring the smooth transition of projects from design to delivery.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing tender documents, drawings, and employer requirements.
• Working closely with the sales team to understand client needs and create tailored technical solutions.
• Preparing accurate quotations, technical presentations, and proposals.
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain equipment and software quotes.
• Pricing systems to ensure competitiveness and commercial accuracy.
• Conducting site visits and surveys when required.
• Collaborating with internal engineering teams for seamless project execution.

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in technical sales, design engineering, or a related role within the electronic security industry.
• Solid understanding of IP networking, integration protocols, and system interoperability.
• Knowledge of modern security technologies and relevant codes of practice (training on enterprise systems used by the company is highly desirable).
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A collaborative mindset – this is a highly cross-functional role.
