Business Development Manager

South of England (Bristol to London and along the South Coast)

£50,000 - £55,000 basic, £10,000 - £15,000 commission 

 

Our Client is a leading provider in the fire safety industry, specialising in the installation and servicing of active fire products, including fire alarm systems and extinguishers. With projects ranging from social housing, universities, hospitals and schools. They're seeking dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team and drive growth in the South of England.

As a Business Development Manager you will play a crucial role in expanding the market presence from Bristol to London and along the South Coast. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge in fire safety products and a strong sales acumen to secure new installation and service contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience selling to sectors such as social housing, universities, hospitals, and schools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve growth targets for both installation and service contracts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in social housing, universities, hospitals, and schools.
  • Present and demonstrate the benefits of our active fire products, focusing on Fire Alarm Systems and Extinguishers.
  • Collaborate with the technical and design teams to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets to maximise commission earnings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the fire industry or a related field.
  • Knowledge of fire safety products, particularly Fire Alarm Systems and Extinguishers.
  • Understanding of fire design principles and standards.
  • Strong network within the social housing, education, and healthcare sectors is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

  • Competitive basic salary of £50,000 - £55,000.
