About the Client:
- Our client, specialists in the Fire and Security industry, are seeking a hardworking and passionate Business Development Manager to manage their Nordics & Baltics market
The Role:
- To promote and sell the company products to achieve the planned annual sales target for your region(s)
- Seek out new customers within the assigned territories (both distribution and OEM) allowing for the expected growth required.
- Liaise with the Sales & Marketing team to ensure we are all working and aligned with the company’s growth initiatives.
- To research and seek new business opportunities driving incremental sales growth
- To educate customers (distribution, end users) on the company brand and product range, demonstrating the features and benefits of our products when compared with our competition.
- Effective communication with all departments to ensure a high level of customer service can be provided.
- Identify growth opportunities in the region.
- With assistance from the Sales Director, build a business plan for the region that creates short and long-term success for business development.
- Execute sales and manage customer accounts to achieve set sales targets.
- Visit customers and prospects throughout the region when and where necessary.
- Attend monthly sales meetings, reviewing region performance against target, active opportunities, and future monthly outlook.
- Provide a monthly sales report, as defined by the Sales & Marketing Director
- Attend Bi-weekly 121, to discuss ongoing opportunities and sales activities.
- Support the distribution channels in the region by showcasing the company products to installers, creating pull-through sales and directing new business through the correct channels.
- Actively participate in marketing activities & events across the region and propose key local marketing activities to accelerate sales revenue growth.
- Improve market intelligence by gathering and reporting information regarding certifications and product requirements within the region.
- Ensure any quotes / pricing issued to customers adhere to the company’s pricing policy
- Ensure by working with the Marketing Manager that new products are effectively communicated to the marketplace.
- Keep track of all new business opportunities identified by your customers and report on outcome.
- Where necessary, help organise and represent the company at any trade show or events.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by the company to support its business objectives.
Qualities Required:
- Nordics / Baltics is a relatively new market for the company so the individual will need to demonstrate that they are capable of hunting down opportunities, opening and securing new business channels
- Ability to ‘close’ sales.
- Good questioning & listening skills.
- Strong organisation, follow through and documentation skills.
- Efficiency & time-management skills across multiple client demands.
- Strong Written/Verbal communication skills.
- High level of effective presentation skills.
- Fluent English language – both Written & verbal, other language skills are advantageous
- Fire or Security Industry experience is an advantage, or experience selling similar technology products via distribution / electrical wholesale and or system integrators in the assigned region
- Knowledge of Power Supplies or one from a technical product background with confidence in ability to learn
- Travel will be required for this role, overnight stays will be necessary
- Full driving license and passport required.
