Join a dynamic team in Oxford as Commercial Lead, where you’ll oversee key project financials, manage risk, and lead a talented team on a high-value venture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the commercial team, providing oversight and direction throughout the lifecycle of a high-value project.
  • Manage all aspects of cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring the project stays within budget.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, procurement, and tendering processes to ensure favorable terms for the company.
  • Monitor and manage project risks, implementing strategies to mitigate any potential financial issues.
  • Ensure the accuracy of valuations, payments, and change management processes.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior members of the commercial team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and present progress updates to senior management.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements throughout the project.

 

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on high-value commercial or construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to lead a team.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and financial management expertise.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, procurement, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial and project management software.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
