Commissioning Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning Leadership: Lead and oversee commissioning activities for large HVAC, ventilation, and air conditioning projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, specifications, and client requirements.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project teams to develop commissioning plans, schedules, and methodologies, and oversee the execution of commissioning activities to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply your mechanical engineering background and in-depth knowledge of air conditioning systems to troubleshoot complex issues, resolve technical challenges, and optimize system performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections and tests during the commissioning process, ensuring that systems are installed, calibrated, and functioning correctly, and that all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to communicate commissioning requirements, address concerns, and provide expert guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to project teams and subcontractors on commissioning procedures, best practices, and safety protocols to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Travel: Occasionally travel internationally to attend project kick-off meetings, provide on-site support, and facilitate coordination between global project teams.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in commissioning large-scale HVAC, ventilation, or air conditioning projects, with a focus on critical environments such as data centres.
  • Strong understanding of Level 3, 4, and 5 commissioning activities, including functional testing, performance verification, and system optimisation.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to develop and execute commissioning plans, manage project schedules and budgets, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed for project support and coordination.

  • Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
