Responsibilities:

  • Drive and oversee new sales initiatives within the department.
  • Monitor job budgets and prepare detailed reports on performance against budget.
  • Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships to grow the department.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and colleagues to ensure solutions meet customer needs.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set for the role.
  • Manage health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities related to the department's work.
  • Accurately interpret design information and possess the technical expertise to create or modify design information when necessary.
  • Ensure procurement activities are technically correct and comply with company procedures.
  • Effectively utilise the Business Management System as required.
  • Contribute to productivity improvement and performance monitoring.
  • Manage performance of allocated subcontractors.
  • Develop and execute plans aligned with the overall project plan.
  • Proactively identify and address potential problems in a timely manner.
  • Foster effective teamwork while being capable of working independently.
  • Collaborate with other specialists, such as the Commercial Department, to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Identify and address any snags or defects to ensure timely completion and commissioning.
  • Compile accurate record drawings and manuals by gathering relevant information.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Possession of a suitable electrical, process-related, or engineering qualification, along with recent management/leadership development in a process works department.
  • Extensive management experience within the process, construction-related, or relevant services industries.
  • Strong knowledge of technical issues and industry trends in process services and construction sectors, including specialist markets. The ability to differentiate against market propositions is crucial.
  • Ideally, a minimum of five years' experience with a prominent national Process/M&E/Facilities Contractor.
  • Demonstrated track record of substantial expertise and experience in the relevant field.
