As a Field Service Engineer, you'll ensure seamless operation of high-end lift systems for prestigious clients. This role is key to maintaining the reliability of premium equipment in some of the most exclusive environments.
Role Overview: The Field Service Engineer will support our contractual service clients, encompassing a broad range of customers from large corporate commercial sites to high-wealth individuals' private homes. This field-based role is the most significant client-facing position within the business concerning day-to-day client interactions. Effective service delivery is crucial for retaining and growing our service portfolio, supporting broader divisional and branch goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lift Servicing: Perform maintenance and servicing of lifts, adhering to NVQ Level 3 standards.
- Technical Skills: Utilise strong electrical and mechanical skills in practical environments.
- Organisational Skills: Plan workloads effectively, balancing responsive and planned activities.
- Documentation: Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Tool Usage: Proficient in using standard test instruments and hand tools.
- Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with a broad range of commercial and residential customers.
- Problem Resolution: Collaborate with engineering personnel to resolve unusual system operation and maintenance issues.
- Technical Reporting: Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and product improvement suggestions.
- IT Skills: Competent in using field service software and MS Office suite.
Skills/Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Servicing
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills
- Effective organisational and workload planning skills
- Ability to interpret technical documentation
- Proficiency with test instruments and hand tools
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literate with familiarity in field service software and MS Office
