Fire Alarm & Smoke Vents Install Engineer

Oxford, Berkshire, Hertfordshire

£38,000 basic salary + overtime and door-to-door travel pay

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, upgrade, and commission fire alarm systems, smoke ventilation systems, and associated equipment.
  • Work on new installations as well as system upgrades, ensuring high-quality, compliant work across all projects.
  • Troubleshoot, service, and maintain fire alarm and smoke ventilation systems where required.
  • Ensure all installations meet fire safety regulations and standards, with a strong focus on quality.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and clients to ensure installations are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Conduct risk assessments and surveys on sites to ensure safety standards are upheld.
  • Provide post-installation technical support and advice to clients as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment on all project sites.
     

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in installing fire alarm systems and smoke ventilation systems (both new installs and upgrades).
  • Experience with a variety of fire alarm panels (training on specific systems can be provided).
  • CSCS Card.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations within Oxford, Berkshire, and Hertfordshire.
