We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of fire alarm systems across high-profile sites in Middlesbrough, Newcastle, and Teesside. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in enhancing fire safety for our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various fire alarm systems, including Gent, Siemens, Advanced, C-TEC, and Morley.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with fire alarm systems efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Provide detailed reports on work carried out and any necessary follow-up actions.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies.
  • Offer expert advice and support to clients on fire safety and system functionality.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and advancements.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications in fire alarm systems (e.g., FIA, BAFE).
  • Experience with fire alarms such as Gent, Siemens, Advanced, C-TEC, and Morley is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel across Middlesbrough, Newcastle, and Teesside.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a variety of fire alarm brands and models.
  • Familiarity with emergency lighting systems and other fire safety equipment.
  • Additional certifications in related areas (e.g., electrical engineering, health and safety).
