Fire Alarm Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform rack-up, programming, verification, and inspection of fire alarm systems, access control and intercom systems, and other fire protection equipment.
• Conduct inspections and service on both our client's products and non-client products.
• Ensure timely completion and submission of inspection reports.
• Provide technical support to customers as required.
• Deliver operational training to end-users.
• Foster a positive experience for our customers and end-users when working with our client.
• Read and comprehend engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals.

Requirements and Skills:

• Technicians should have 3-5 years of experience as a Service Technician in the Fire Alarm industry.
• Possess an electronics diploma or equivalent from an accredited college/university, or have documented and demonstrated trade qualifications.
• Hold Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) registration or a comparable qualification.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
• Capable of lifting equipment and tools up to 70lbs, as well as climbing ladders and scaffolding.
• Hold a valid and clean motor vehicle license.
• Knowledge of our client's systems is considered an asset.
• Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel is considered an asset.
