Fire Service and Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £37,440 per annum + overtime, travel time, and out-of-hours retainer fees Potential Earnings: Up to £50,000 per annum (including overtime and bonuses)
Play a key role in maintaining critical fire and safety systems across the Oxford postcode area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1), emergency lighting, Nurse Call, and Access Control systems.
- Complete engineer service reports accurately.
- Identify and report deficiencies or deviations in systems.
- Maintain associated equipment such as fire extinguishers and AOVs.
- Perform regular van stock checks and liaise with relevant departments.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, reporting risks as required.
- Strive for first-time fixes whenever possible.
Requirements:
- Flexible approach to work, minimum of 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with optional weekend and call-out shifts.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
- FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals.
- Good IT literacy and understanding of BS5839 parts 1 and 6.
- Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations.
