Shape the future of passive fire safety as Head of Operational Delivery, leading a high-performing team and exceeding client expectations.

 

We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Operational Delivery to lead our Passive Fire division. You will oversee fire door maintenance, fire-stopping projects, and other passive fire safety services, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. This role includes full P&L responsibility for a portfolio of contracts.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies to deliver passive fire services efficiently. Lead and develop a high-performing team of managers, supervisors, and staff.
  • P&L Management: Take full ownership of budgets, controlling costs, and maximising profitability across contracts.
  • Operational Delivery: Oversee fire door maintenance, fire-stopping, and compliance with safety standards and regulations. Ensure timely, cost-effective project delivery.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary client contact for escalations and strategic discussions. Build strong relationships and provide updates on progress and performance.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure all projects meet legal, safety, and quality standards. Conduct audits and drive continuous improvement.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in operational leadership within the passive fire sector or a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of fire doors, fire-stopping, and passive fire safety.
  • Experience managing contracts with full P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership, client relationship, and financial management skills.

 

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in fire safety or engineering (e.g., FDIS, BM TRADA).
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification (desirable).
  • Membership in professional bodies (e.g., IFSM, IFE) is an advantage.
