Looking for a hands-on Project Manager role? Manage high-impact construction projects and collaborate with contractors to drive efficiency and excellence in all stages of delivery.
Main Duties:
- Ensure high-quality service delivery to clients, maintaining focus on time, cost, and service specifications.
- Provide weekly progress updates to Contracts Director and Clients.
- Support Site and Installation Managers in their roles.
- Coordinate installations with other trades and manage quality control.
- Monitor and report on sub-contractor and in-house labour performance.
- Oversee and action project instructions and mark up ‘as built’ drawings.
- Supervise testing works and contribute to continuous quality improvements.
- Manage documentation, project communication, and drawings.
- Support cost management to maximise project profit margins and attend site meetings.
- Actively pursue service & maintenance contract opportunities for ongoing projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of operational manuals, test results, and commissioning documents.
Sub-contractor Management:
- Select, launch, and monitor sub-contractors for project success.
- Oversee sub-contractor performance and review contracts, variations, and final accounts.
Cost Recovery:
- Submit timely valuations and report on project financial performance.
- Support final account production and manage variations to ensure profitability.
Planning:
- Develop and monitor Construction and Commissioning programmes using Microsoft Project.
- Coordinate and track project progress with suppliers and sub-contractors.
Health & Safety:
- Conduct weekly site H&S inspections and implement company safety policies.
- Oversee permits, risk assessments, and PPE management on site.
- Lead daily briefings and Toolbox talks to maintain a strong safety culture.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Meet with Contracts Manager and Director to ensure projects are on track.
- Compile and issue progress reports to clients and ensure programmes are adhered to.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in project management within construction and installations.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with a focus on quality and safety.
- Excellent communication and financial management abilities.
