Due to continued expansion, they are looking to recruit a Procurement and Fleet Manager to join the team and contribute to their ongoing success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement:

  • Develop inventive and cost-effective procurement strategies.
  • Source and negotiate with reliable suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Approve purchase orders and organise and confirm the delivery of goods and services.
  • Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
  • Oversee and manage IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
  • Prepare procurement reports.
  • Manage stock across all locations to optimise operational efficiency and inventory levels.
  • Oversee the daily activities of the purchasing team, including task delegation and supervision.
  • Organise and run quarterly stocktakes for the warehouse and remote stock locations.
  • Establish quality control measures to ensure stock meets company standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely deliveries of the correct items and services.
  • Ensure the goods are correctly received and recorded in the database.
  • Identify and manage high volumes of stock to determine best practices.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and end-users to improve purchase order and goods receipt processes.
  • Build and implement subcontractor performance and management systems to support the Operations Management team.

 

Fleet:

  • Procure vehicles through lease, purchase, or other means according to company requirements, maintaining this ongoing around lease renewals and mileage limitations to avoid financial penalties.
  • Register, obtain licences, and insure the company’s vehicles.
  • Secure vehicles, drivers (during work-related activities), and relevant assets.
  • Partner with reputable repair and maintenance shops in favourable locations.
  • Oversee and schedule vehicle inspections, maintenance, and servicing to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain all vehicle information and inspection records.
  • Securely store driver records.
  • Reduce unnecessary expenses and increase fuel efficiency.
  • Ensure fleet compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Analyse fleet performance data and implement improvements.
  • Report fleet performance and finances to upper management.
  • Source and negotiate the best commercial insurance coverage for the fleet.
  • Source and negotiate the best commercial fuel purchase, considering driver base and coverage areas.
  • Implement real-time vehicle location tracking.
