Quantity Surveyor

London (Multiple Sites)

Up to £57,000 + Package

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for electronic security projects, including access control systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and related components.

  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Lead the procurement process, prepare tender documents, and evaluate bids from suppliers and contractors.

  • Identify, assess, and manage potential risks related to project costs and finances.

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure favorable terms for the organisation.

  • Collaborate with project managers and on-site teams to monitor project progress, including financial aspects, and resolve any financial issues that may arise.

  •  Handle variation orders and change requests, ensuring that additional work is appropriately documented and accounted for.

  •  Provide regular financial reports and updates to the management team, highlighting project financial performance.

  • Ensure that all financial practices and documentation adhere to relevant industry regulations and standards.

  • The role may require travel to various project sites as necessary.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the electronic security or construction industry.

  • Proficiency in cost estimation and project budget management.

  • Strong knowledge of electronic security systems and components.

  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Ability to travel to project sites across multiple locations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Financial acumen and attention to detail.

  • Professional certification or membership in relevant industry associations is a plus.
