About the Client:
- Our client, specialists in the Fire industry, are seeking a hardworking and passionate Remedial Sales Estimator based around the North West area to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Role:
- Work within the Technical and Operations team to deliver business objectives in line with the company business plan.
- To produce quotations for remedial work from defect information provided on Engineers service reports.
- To follow up quotations with customers to secure purchase orders
- Attend Pump room site surveys & be able to effectively use engineering Knowledge to produce quotations which can be converted to a parts list when orders are received.
- To produce reports in digital format using Microsoft products or bespoke business software packages from pre-populate digital reports.
- To liaise with the field-based operatives through the Planning and Operations teams to establish the quality of information provided and ensure accuracy of quotations.
- Manage all non-conformances through the Planning and Operations Managers to ensure that corrective actions are instigated in all cases.
- Actively participate in team meetings to get correct information flow, future and on-going support & project activities, problems, and opportunities.
- Monitor your personal KPIs to ensure you meet business objectives on turnaround times, volume, and value of quotations.
- To carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management from time to time.
Qualities Required:
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong technical background, especially in the Fire Pump industry would be hugely Beneficial.
- Experience in the service industry with field-based personnel is desirable but not essential.
- Strong IT skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with proven experience of good system and record maintenance.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent time management.
- Professional, customer-focussed manner, helpful and supportive to colleagues.
