Responsibilities:
Review, Monitor, and Improve Construction Performance:
- Regularly review and evaluate construction performance against predetermined metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Implement monitoring systems to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to programme, cost, and quality targets.
- Analyse data and feedback from the construction team to identify potential bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or areas requiring corrective action.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance construction processes, methodologies, and productivity.
- Implement corrective measures and provide necessary training or support to address performance gaps and improve overall construction performance.
Experience & Qualities Required:
- Extensive experience in managing sites for projects related to OHL, Cabling, or Substations up to 400kV.
- Proficiency in Project Management methodology.
- Strong understanding of budgetary and financial control within a commercial context.
- Exceptional skills in managing relationships and fostering effective collaborations.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and reconcile conflicting interests to find solutions for complex operational and commercial challenges.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, skilled at addressing sensitive matters, and leading cross-functional teams towards resolutions.
- Trained in Risk Assessment or equivalent.
- Desirable qualifications include IOSH, CDM, or equivalent certification.
- Possession of a City and Guilds NVQ or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
