A leading national provider of fire and security systems is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead its London-based sales team. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in driving team performance within the fire, security, or building services sector.


About the Role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Account Managers and Business Development professionals. You’ll oversee regional sales performance, support complex bids, and contribute to strategic growth plans across both new and existing client accounts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional sales team

  • Set and monitor sales targets and KPIs in line with business goals

  • Implement effective sales strategies to expand market share

  • Support sales staff on large or technically complex deals and presentations

  • Build strong relationships with key clients and internal departments

  • Report on sales activity, pipeline health, and market opportunities

  • Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across services


Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within fire protection, electronic security, or M&E contracting

  • Strong track record of hitting sales targets and growing revenue

  • Excellent leadership and team development skills

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client management abilities

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

  • Full UK driving licence


Desirable

  • Knowledge of life safety systems (e.g. fire detection, alarms, suppression)

  • Familiarity with BS 5839, BS 7671, or similar industry compliance standards

  • Experience in tendering or managing public sector or commercial contracts
