An established and fast-growing provider of life safety and security systems is looking to appoint a Business Development professional with experience in the M&E and construction sector, focused on winning Fire & Security installation projects.

This role is ideal for someone with strong industry connections, a track record of securing project-based work, and the commercial acumen to influence specifications and tender outcomes.

About the Role

You’ll take the lead on identifying and securing new Fire & Security installation opportunities within major capital and construction projects. Targeting M&E contractors, consultants, and Tier 1 builders, you’ll manage the entire pre-contract process—supported by internal estimating and technical teams—to present compliant and commercially competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new business across the M&E and construction sectors
  • Build strong relationships with M&E contractors, specifiers, consultants, and quantity surveyors
  • Influence early-stage project specifications to position Fire & Security solutions
  • Support tender responses, working closely with pre-construction and estimating teams
  • Contribute to cross-discipline proposals on large-scale projects with other internal business units
  • Track project pipelines and maintain detailed CRM reporting

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven success securing Fire & Security installation work within M&E or construction environments
  • Strong commercial understanding of tendering, pricing, and project margins
  • Established network within the M&E contractor and consultant community
  • Technical understanding of Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and relevant standards
  • Self-starter with a solution-focused, consultative sales approach
