Job Purpose

An experienced Fire Alarm Engineer is required to handle reactive work, faults, and small projects predominantly across Kent and South London. While the role is focused on fire detection systems, additional knowledge of access control and CCTV systems would be an advantage.


About You

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service and Faults Engineer

  • Strong communication skills, enthusiasm, self-motivation, and excellent time management

  • Solid work history with a full UK manual driving licence

  • Based within reach of Kent and London, flexible to travel across the wider Southeast


Skills Required

  • Expertise with conventional, addressable & wireless fire alarm systems

  • Knowledge of Advanced, C-Tec, Morley desirable; Gent experience beneficial (training provided if needed)

  • Familiarity with access control / door entry systems, IP & analogue CCTV desirable

  • Dual Com monitoring and other communication devices

  • Maintenance of emergency lighting

  • Knowledge of NSI codes of practice: installation, commissioning, maintenance

  • Up-to-date understanding of current industry standards (EN50131, PD6662, DD243, BS4737, BS8243)

Additional Information

  • The role involves working with ladders at height and can be physically demanding

  • Full UK driving licence required (company vehicle provided)

  • Travel across Kent, London, and surrounding areas

  • Standard hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm, plus 1 in 6 weeks on-call rota (paid overtime)

  • NSSA Security Screening required
