Draughtsman / Design Engineer | South London | £45,000

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Engineer on behalf of a well-established lift company based in South London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled design professional with a strong background in the lift industry and hands-on experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.

Role Overview:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for producing technical drawings and models to support lift installations and refurbishments across a range of commercial and residential projects. You’ll work closely with project teams, engineers, and site staff to ensure accurate and compliant designs are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and update 2D and 3D technical drawings for lift systems.
• Develop BIM models and ensure coordination with other disciplines.
• Liaise with project managers and site teams to ensure drawings meet all site-specific requirements.
• Apply lift industry standards and compliance throughout the design process.
• Make adjustments to designs based on site surveys, feedback, or engineering revisions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in the lift or vertical transportation industry.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
• Solid understanding of lift layouts, shaft requirements, and installation constraints.
• High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
