Lift Engineering Consultant | South London | Up to £60,000 + Travel Allowance

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to deliver high-quality lift and escalator consultancy services, supporting projects across a diverse range of sectors including residential, healthcare, education, logistics, retail and more.

The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of lift and escalator modernisation and installation projects, offering both technical expertise and consultancy support. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing contractor proposals, drawings, risk assessments and method statements

• Managing new lift and escalator installation projects, replacements and modernisations

• Conducting health & safety site audits, lift maintenance and dilapidation audits, EN81-80 audits and accident investigations

• Specification writing, traffic analysis, calculations and procurement exercises

• Contract management, account management and compliance projects

• Witness testing, troubleshooting and occasional LOLER examinations

The Candidate
Applicants should be time-served lift engineers with a strong technical background across a variety of manufacturers’ equipment. Key requirements include:

• NVQ3 or NVQ4 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent)

• Previous experience within lift engineering consultancy or senior project management

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to create specifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously and make confident decisions

• A proactive and motivated approach with a drive for innovation
