Refrigeration Engineer

Location: North London & Hertfordshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + Vehicle + Benefits

The Company

The Role

• Carry out service, maintenance, and repair of light commercial refrigeration systems on petrol forecourts and service stations.

• Work on a variety of systems including display fridges, cold rooms, walk-in chillers, and freezer units.

• Diagnose faults, replace components, and ensure efficient, safe, and compliant operation of all refrigeration equipment.

• Provide first-class customer service, maintaining clear communication with site managers and helpdesk teams.

• Participate in an on-call rota, ensuring rapid response to emergency breakdowns.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure all work meets F-Gas, health and safety, and company standards.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Refrigeration Engineer with F-Gas Category 1 certification.

• Experience in light commercial or retail refrigeration – forecourt or small retail environments advantageous.

• Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently across multiple sites.

• Customer-focused with a professional, reliable, and safety-conscious approach.

• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to cover a London & South East patch.
