Commissioning Engineer | North England | £40,000-£50,000
Join a dynamic team working on large, complex Fire & Security systems for high-profile clients, including data centres, power stations, and manufacturing facilities. The role is predominantly in the north of England, with two key projects in Yorkshire requiring immediate commissioning support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission and test Fire & Security systems across multiple sites
- Work on large, complex installations for high-profile clients
- Travel across the North, with occasional assignments as far south as Birmingham
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Support projects from start to finish, ensuring handover and documentation is completed accurately
- Participate in on-call rotation (1 in 6 weeks)
Systems Experience Required:
- Gent (essential)
- Advanced (essential)
- Notifier (essential)
Candidate Requirements:
- Based in Yorkshire preferred, but applications from other regions will be considered
- Flexible and willing to work away from home as required
- Comfortable with varied working hours, including overtime
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
Working Hours & Benefits:
- Standard hours: 40 hours per week
- Overtime: 1.5x, calculated for hours over 8 per day
- Paid travel time after first 30 minutes each way
- Overnight allowance: £20 on expenses + £25 night bonus
- Call-out: £100 per call, standby £20 per night
- Competitive salary with performance-based OTE
