Are you a technically minded estimator or systems engineer with strong commercial awareness? Our client, a market-leading specialist in integrated system solutions for critical and healthcare environments, is seeking an experienced Systems Solutions Engineer to join their established Internal Sales Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take ownership of complex, multi-discipline projects—managing enquiries from initial brief through to final quotation.

The Opportunity

In this key role, you’ll be responsible for producing accurate, commercially sound, and competitive quotations for a range of technical projects. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and liaise directly with clients to develop complete, value-driven solutions that meet both customer expectations and business goals.

You’ll also play a mentoring role within the team, supporting junior colleagues, promoting best practice, and helping to improve tools and processes. This position offers real autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to directly influence project success and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex, multi-discipline quotations from enquiry to submission.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and requirements to assess risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Design, Service, Projects, Finance, and Sales Support teams to produce accurate costings.
• Liaise directly with customers to clarify requirements and present proposals.
• Prepare professional quotations that are accurate, complete, and commercially viable.
• Identify risks, deviations, and opportunities for value engineering.
• Support the Estimating Team Leader with workload management and process improvement.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement across the estimating function.

About You

You’ll combine strong technical understanding with commercial acumen and confident communication skills. You’ll be proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience preparing accurate estimates for complex, multi-discipline projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, CRM, IFS, and estimating tools.
• Knowledge of system integration and applications in healthcare or critical environments.
• Strong commercial awareness with understanding of margins, risk, and contracts.
• Experience in healthcare, construction, or related technical sectors.
• Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g. HTM, BS).
