Project Engineer – High End Security Systems Cambridgeshire

A leading specialist in advanced electronic security solutions is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support the delivery of high end systems for blue chip and mission critical clients. This role combines hands on engineering with project coordination, ensuring exceptional standards across complex security installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a mixture of on site installation, commissioning, and technical support across advanced CCTV, access control, intruder, and integrated security platforms.
- Oversee project delivery from planning through to handover, ensuring work is completed on time, on budget, and to exacting quality standards.
- Act as a technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Review site conditions, specifications, drawings, and risk assessments to ensure compliant and safe delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams to manage materials, scheduling, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on specialist systems and high security technology.
- Produce accurate reports, commissioning certificates, and handover documentation.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, best practices, and security governance requirements.
Role Requirements
- Strong background in electronic security engineering, ideally within high security or blue chip environments.
- Experience in installation and commissioning of CCTV, access control, and integrated systems (e.g., Avigilon, Genetec, Milestone, Gallagher, Lenel, C Cure or similar).
- Comfortable working both independently on tools and in an off the tools project engineering capacity.
- Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism when dealing with clients at all levels.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the Huntingdon / Cambridgeshire area.
- Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance, and secure site protocols.
