National Quality Auditor | £40,000 | Essex

An established organisation within the environmental compliance sector is seeking a National Quality Auditor to join their technical team. This role is based in Essex with national travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical inductions for new team members (excluding HR/IT/logistics elements).
• Deliver on-site training and guidance to support the development of less-experienced technical staff.
• Audit and train new technical personnel, supporting competency assessment and initial authorisations.
• Conduct ongoing competency audits across the existing field team.
• Maintain accurate filing and updating of all technical records in line with internal procedures.
• Perform quality inspections of asbestos surveys and 4-Stage Clearance work (including desktop audits).
• Support delivery of refresher training and re?training activities.
• Coordinate monthly management system requirements (QC reviews, RICE results, RPE checks, slide retention, etc.).
• Manage purchasing, servicing, calibration and inspection of equipment (testing equipment, access equipment, RPE).
• Provide feedback on suspected non-conforming work to management.
• Assist with investigations into complaints and non-conformities.
• Support internal vertical audits as required.
• Provide occasional auditing cover for other regional offices.
• Liaise with internal teams to implement procedural or operational changes.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must hold one of the following sets of certifications:

BOHS Route:

• BOHS P402 – Surveying and Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings
• BOHS P403 – Air Sampling & Fibre Counting (PCM)
• BOHS P404 – Clearance Testing & Certificate of Reoccupation

OR

RSPH Route:

• RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying
• RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Air Monitoring & Clearance Procedures
