We are currently working with a well-established organisation in the fire and security sector who are looking to bring an experienced Remedials Estimator into their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial awareness. You’ll play a key role in translating service findings into clear, compliant, and commercially viable remedial solutions for customers.
The role
In this position, you’ll act as the bridge between engineers, clients, and internal teams—taking service reports and turning them into accurate, professional quotations. You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of enquiries, from initial review through to securing orders, giving you real ownership and visibility of your work.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be speaking with engineers about site findings, preparing detailed quotes, liaising with customers, and helping drive revenue through effective follow-ups and relationship building.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing detailed and accurate quotations for remedial works
- Reviewing service reports and identifying appropriate solutions
- Liaising with engineers and arranging site visits where required
- Managing multiple enquiries while meeting KPIs and deadlines
- Following up quotations and converting opportunities into orders
- Building strong customer relationships and identifying upsell opportunities
About you
This role is suited to candidates who bring both technical knowledge and a customer-first, commercial mindset. You’ll be confident discussing solutions with clients and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Experience within the fire and security industry (estimating, sales, or technical roles)
- A strong understanding of remedial works, compliance, and quality standards
- Experience producing and presenting quotations to customers
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach
Essential: Experience with fire detection and alarm systems
Desirable: Broader knowledge of security systems
Training and development are available for candidates who demonstrate strong potential and transferable skills.
