Senior Security Systems Engineer (Field-Based) – Midlands
£35,000 – £45,000 + Uncapped Overtime + On-Call (1 in 3)

We are partnering with a reputable and expanding client within the fire and security sector to recruit an experienced Senior Security Systems Engineer. This field-based role covers the Midlands and offers excellent earning potential through uncapped overtime, alongside opportunities for progression and development.

This opportunity would suit a technically capable engineer with at least five years’ experience, who is confident supporting others while remaining hands-on in service, maintenance, and small works.

The Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will support the delivery of high-quality service and maintenance across a range of electronic security systems. You will also take a lead role in mentoring engineers in your region and assisting with more complex technical issues.

The role involves a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, as well as occasional installation and commissioning of small works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and fault-find on security systems
  • Attend reactive callouts and carry out planned preventative maintenance
  • Complete small installation projects, including commissioning
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other engineers
  • Assist with complex faults, complaints, and escalations
  • Maintain clear communication with clients when scheduling and attending visits
  • Support the sales team with technical input for quotations
  • Carry out site surveys and assist with project handovers
  • Ensure vehicle stock levels are maintained
  • Participate in compliance checks and pre-audits
  • Support planning of maintenance schedules for larger or key sites
  • Act as a liaison between engineers and management

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the fire and security industry
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
  • On-call rota: 1 in 3
