This is a senior mechanical consultancy role focused on the operational performance of building services within occupied buildings. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, delivering audits, technical advice, design input, and project management. The role offers a balance of office-based work and regular site attendance, with scope to influence client outcomes and support business growth.Key Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical engineering consultancy within FM and operational environments
- Support and monitor hard FM maintenance contracts and service providers
- Undertake plantroom inspections, audits, and condition surveys
- Produce technical reports, specifications, and scopes of work
- Manage project delivery from brief through to handover
- Tender and review maintenance and project works
- Provide technical advice on statutory compliance and best practice
- Support junior engineers and contribute to team development
Key Requirements
Essential- Strong background in mechanical building services engineering
- Significant experience in mechanical services design
- Confident client-facing and report-writing skills
- Strong technical problem-solving ability
- HNC / HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- FM or operational engineering consultancy experience
- Experience managing maintenance contracts or projects
