Security Commissioning Engineer

Location: London & South East
Salary: Up to £45,000 basic DOE + paid travel + overtime 

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Security Commissioning Engineer to join an established security integrator delivering high-profile construction projects across Central London. This role focuses on the commissioning, configuration, and handover of advanced electronic security systems on large-scale, enterprise client sites.

You will play a key role in bringing systems to life—ensuring they are fully operational, integrated, and performing to specification. The position offers exposure to leading platforms such as Genetec, Avigilon, and C-Cure, with ongoing training and development provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission, configure, and test electronic security systems to a high standard
• Carry out system integration across CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning phases
• Support final system handover, including client demonstrations and documentation
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety and industry standards
• Collaborate with installation teams, project managers, and clients to ensure successful delivery
• Provide technical support and guidance where required

Systems & Technology

You will work across a range of enterprise-level systems, including:

• CCTV systems
• Access Control (e.g. Genetec, Lenel, C-Cure)
• Intruder Detection Systems (IDS)
• Integrated security platforms

Salary & Working Hours

• Up to £45,000 basic salary (paid hourly)
• 40-hour working week
• Travel paid - Train in to Central London
• Overtime opportunities available

About You

• Proven experience commissioning or supporting commissioning of security systems
• Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, access control, and IDS
• Experience with enterprise systems (Genetec, Avigilon, C-Cure & Milestone desirable)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Professional, self-motivated, and client-focused
• Comfortable working independently across Central London
