Project Manager – HVAC / Building Services | £55,000 | South (hybrid with site visits)

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Conduct site surveys, including assessment of cooling system requirements and environment
• Design and specify solutions, including equipment selection and installation scope
• Manage full project lifecycle from initial survey through to design, quotation, delivery, and handover
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Monitor financial performance and maintain project margins
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and installation teams
• Carry out health & safety audits and ensure compliance with CDM regulations
• Prepare and maintain project documentation in line with company quality standards (e.g. ISO processes)
• Identify risks, resolve issues, and implement effective solutions
• Participate in regular project review meetings with internal stakeholders

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in project management within HVAC, building services, or related sectors
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Good understanding of CDM regulations and health & safety practices
• Technical knowledge of cooling systems, mechanical services, or building services engineering
• Experience managing installation or engineering projects from concept to completion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
• Industry certifications such as SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), Prince2, or APM
• Experience within telecommunications, data centres, or other critical infrastructure environments
• Background in HVAC design, installation, or commissioning
• Previous experience in roles involving both technical delivery and commercial awareness

An established international manufacturer of cooling solutions is seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of projects across the UK. The role focuses on managing the design, installation, and delivery of cooling systems within critical infrastructure environments, including telecommunications networks and data centres.

This is a hybrid role combining site-based work and home working, with occasional travel and overnight stays as required.
