We are seeking a high calibre Head of Service Sales to take full ownership of the service sales strategy, enhance quoting performance, and strengthen customer relationships across a broad and diverse portfolio. This is a high impact leadership role with strong executive backing and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

  • Build and lead the Service Sales division, embedding effective processes, service level agreements, and a culture of commercial excellence
  • Develop and execute a clear service sales strategy to drive revenue growth and operational performance
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing team with both technical and commercial expertise

Commercial Performance

  • Eliminate existing quote backlog and ensure consistent service level agreement adherence across all service quotations
  • Improve quoting productivity, turnaround times, win rates, and average order values
  • Drive pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy, and margin protection
  • Grow service revenue through expansion of service contracts and increased conversion of small works, remedial works, and upgrades

Customer and Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, insurers, and key industry stakeholders
  • Oversee bids, proposals, and customer engagement across fire sprinkler and mechanical services
  • Ensure seamless transitions for key accounts, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction throughout

Operational Excellence

  • Deliver accurate, compliant, and timely quotations aligned with industry standards
  • Manage and reduce aged work in progress across the function
  • Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and marketing teams to drive consistent service delivery and commercial success
  • Implement succession planning to ensure continuity across top accounts and minimise risk of unplanned attrition

About You

  • Proven track record in service sales, business development, or commercial leadership within the fire sprinkler or related industry
  • Strong technical understanding of fire sprinkler systems, maintenance programmes, remedial works, and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated success in growing service contract portfolios and improving sales performance
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Data driven, with strong customer relationship management system usage and pipeline management capability
  • Able to build trust quickly and influence both customers and internal stakeholders
