The Opportunity
We're currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing electronic security specialist with over 20 years of industry success.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Multi-Skilled Security Installation Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across commercial, residential, heritage, public sector, and high-value private properties throughout the UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a variety of electronic security systems, while delivering exceptional levels of customer service and technical expertise.
This role offers genuine variety, working on projects ranging from prestigious private estates and historic buildings to large-scale commercial and public sector sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission CCTV, intruder alarm, access control, and fire alarm systems to current industry standards.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of security systems.
- Ensure all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Provide professional demonstrations and user training to customers following installation.
- Accurately complete documentation, service records, and system updates using company software.
- Liaise with customers and project stakeholders to ensure requirements are met throughout project delivery.
- Update site documentation and schematics where required.
- Support projects nationwide, including occasional overnight stays.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a motivated and customer-focused engineer with a strong technical background and a desire to continue developing their career within the security industry.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems.
- Strong working knowledge of CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and/or fire alarm systems.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel nationally with occasional overnight stays.
Desirable
- Experience working across multiple security disciplines.
- Knowledge of current industry standards and regulations.
- Experience using digital job management systems.
- Strong customer-facing experience within a field-based engineering role.
