The Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing life safety systems specialist seeking an experienced Senior Life Safety Systems Engineer to join their field engineering team.
This home-based role offers the opportunity to work with a portfolio of blue-chip and public sector clients across West London, Berkshire, Surrey, and Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, repairing, and commissioning a range of life safety systems while delivering exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, small modifications, and commissioning of life safety systems.
- Complete all electronic service reports and documentation accurately and in line with industry standards.
- Participate in the emergency call-out rota (currently 1 week in 7) following successful probation.
- Deliver high standards of customer service while working across a variety of commercial and public sector sites.
- Maintain compliance with relevant British Standards and company procedures.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' experience maintaining and fault-finding life safety systems.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and associated life safety equipment.
- Experience carrying out repairs, modifications, extensions, and commissioning activities.
- Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 3 penalty points).
- Strong communication skills and a professional customer-facing approach.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Highly Desirable
- Experience working with systems including Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Notifier, Morley, Protec, Siemens, Apollo, Hochiki, and C-TEC.
- Gent Engineer Licence.
- FIA, IFEDA, City & Guilds, or other relevant industry qualifications.
- Knowledge of emergency lighting, voice alarm, and other life safety systems. (Cable faults, earth faults, short circuits)
