Fire & Security Installation & Commissioning Engineer | £35,000 – £42,000 (depending on experience) | North West | Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:30am – 4:30pm)

The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to work across a variety of installation, commissioning, and maintenance projects within a forward-thinking and reputable business.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality fire and security solutions while building strong relationships with clients and contributing to the company’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems across a range of projects
- Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and attend emergency callouts as required
- Perform planned preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and compliance
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure smooth project delivery
- Complete all job documentation including service reports, timesheets, and logbooks accurately and on time
- Ensure all work complies with current health & safety and industry regulations
- Provide technical support to colleagues both remotely and on-site
- Identify and report potential sales opportunities during client visits
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard
- Support and mentor junior engineers where appropriate
- Represent the company professionally at all times when interacting with clients
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience: 2–5 years within the fire & security industry
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of BS & EN standards
- Proven ability to install, service, and commission fire and security systems
- System Knowledge (desirable): Honeywell, Texecom, Paxton, Morley, Advanced, Kentec
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose faults quickly and effectively
- Communication: Excellent customer-facing and team communication skills
- IT Skills: Competent with Microsoft Office and system programming tools
- Organisation: Strong time management with the ability to prioritise workload
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy, particularly within a life safety environment
- Health & Safety Awareness: Good understanding of industry compliance requirements
