Fire Alarm and Gas Suppression Service Engineer | Dudley and wider West Midlands | Up to £40,000

This role focuses on servicing, maintaining, and fault-finding across fire alarm and suppression systems within a varied customer base. You will play a key part in ensuring systems remain compliant, safe, and fully operational, while delivering a high standard of customer service on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems
• Respond to reactive callouts, diagnose faults, and complete repairs or safe shutdowns
• Produce clear, accurate engineer reports including findings, actions, and recommendations
• Work in line with British Standards, site requirements, and safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with clients, explaining issues and next steps
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and van stock to ensure efficient job completion
• Support right-first-time fixes and efficient close-out of jobs
• Participate in an on-call rota as required
• Ensure compliance and documentation is audit-ready at all times

Key Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience servicing and fault-finding on fire alarm systems
• Strong knowledge of leading fire alarm panels and devices
• Ability to work independently in live environments
• High attention to detail with accurate reporting and documentation
• Professional, customer-focused attitude
• Calm and reliable under pressure
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with gas suppression systems
• Familiarity with a wide range of manufacturers and system types
