Fire Systems Technician | Up to £40,000 basic | West Midlands

We are seeking an experienced Fire Systems Technician to support the maintenance, commissioning, and fault finding of fire alarm, gas suppression, and emergency lighting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm, gas suppression, and emergency lighting systems
  • Complete small works installations, upgrades, and commissioning tasks
  • Diagnose system faults and carry out effective repairs
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant British Standards and industry regulations
  • Complete accurate electronic documentation for all works undertaken
  • Participate in an on-call rota of 1 weekend in 9
  • Manage workloads across multiple client sites to meet deadlines
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients
  • Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service

Key Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience within fire systems and gas suppression systems

  • Strong understanding of compliance and industry standards
  • Knowledge of BAFE requirements and BS5839
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations
  • Demonstrable track record within a similar role

Desirable Requirements

  • RIT trained or willingness to undertake training
  • Experience in fire alarm commissioning
