This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a high-profile development, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring project documentation is accurately managed, controlled, and distributed throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, you'll help keep information flowing efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of document control.

This is a fully site-based role, so applicants must be able to commute to Canary Wharf on a daily basis.

The Role

As Document Controller, you will be responsible for the effective management of all project documentation, ensuring information is accurate, compliant, and readily accessible to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring version control and document accuracy.
  • Control the distribution of drawings, technical documents, and project correspondence.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with project templates, formatting standards, and quality procedures.
  • Coordinate document reviews, approvals, and submissions between internal teams and external contractors.
  • Maintain organised electronic filing systems and document registers.
  • Provide day-to-day document control support to project teams.
  • Log site deliveries and assist with ordering project materials and equipment.
  • Support the Commercial Manager with monthly applications and related documentation.
  • Respond promptly to document requests and maintain efficient communication across the project.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Document Controller, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Experience using ASITE or a similar document management platform (essential).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to document management.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with project teams.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.

What's on Offer

  • Salary up to £40,000 per annum (pro rata)
  • Fixed-term contract from September 2026 to February 2027
  • 25 days' annual leave (pro rata)
  • Company pension
  • Health cash plan
  • Employee wellbeing support
  • Employee discounts
  • Referral bonus scheme
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • The opportunity to work on a flagship London construction project with a respected and growing organisation.
