Construction Manager - Data Centres
Wiltshire / permanent / £70,000 Per annum
Working arrangement: Primarily on-site, with occasional flexibility
Security clearance: DV clearance will be required. You do not need to hold current clearance, but you must be eligible to obtain it.
We’re partnering with a leading data centre provider to recruit an experienced Construction Manager to oversee major infrastructure projects across its portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business at the forefront of digital infrastructure. You’ll take responsibility for complex construction programmes, managing delivery from inception through to commissioning and handover.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the on-site delivery of data centre construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to maintain progress and resolve delivery issues.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety compliance throughout every phase of construction.
- Review and manage project documentation, including risk assessments, method statements and progress reports.
- Ensure all works comply with technical specifications, contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Support commissioning and handover activities to ensure each facility is operationally ready.
Experience and qualifications
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally within data centres, critical infrastructure or other high-technology environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, structural works and fit-out phases.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
- Relevant construction qualifications and certifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS or NEBOSH.
