Fire Alarm Engineer (Commissioning & Projects) - London - Up to £55,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out second fix, testing, commissioning, and handover of fire alarm systems.
  • Take ownership of projects through to successful completion.
  • Commission and fault-find on a range of fire alarm systems.
  • Work with both standalone and large networked fire alarm installations.
  • Attend service, maintenance, and remedial visits as required.
  • Ensure all works are completed to relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Liaise with project teams, clients, and senior engineers throughout project delivery.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and on time.
  • Provide technical support and problem-solving on site.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Essential Requirements

  • Approximately 10 years' experience within the fire alarm industry.
  • Strong commissioning background.
  • Ability to independently manage projects from second fix through to commissioning.
  • Experience with:
    • Advanced fire alarm systems
    • Kentec fire alarm systems
    • EMS wireless systems
  • Experienced with both small and large-scale networked fire alarm systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Stable employment history. Applicants with a proven track record of long-term employment are highly preferred.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working within commercial, industrial, and high-net-worth residential environments.
  • Knowledge of current fire alarm regulations and industry standards.
  • Ability to support service and maintenance operations when required.
