Fire Systems Installation Engineer | Wales and South West | Up to £37,440 basic
We are seeking an experienced Fire Systems Installation Engineer to join a growing engineering team covering Wales and the South West. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and upgrade of fire detection and life safety systems across large commercial sites.Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission fire alarm and life safety systems on commercial sites
- Work on multi-networked fire detection systems across large-scale facilities
- Install systems including Gent, Notifier, C-TEC, Advanced and air sampling systems
- Interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Ensure all installations comply with industry regulations and standards
- Carry out system testing and handover activities
- Diagnose and rectify installation faults where required
- Complete engineering paperwork and commissioning records accurately
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers and project teams
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and workmanship at all times
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the fire detection industry
- Installation and commissioning experience on fire alarm systems
- Knowledge of at least some of the following: Gent, Notifier, C-TEC, Advanced and air sampling systems
- Experience working on commercial fire alarm projects
- Understanding of networked fire alarm systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to obtain and maintain high-level security clearance
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Desirable Requirements
- Gent system experience
- FIA qualifications or equivalent industry certifications
- Experience working within high-security or critical environments

- Basic salary: £34,320 - £37,440
- OTE: £42,900 - £48,100

- Typically only 2-3 call-outs per year
- Standby payment of £180 per week on call
- Call-out payment of £20 weekdays and £40 weekends
- Overtime paid at:
- Time and a half between 5pm and 10pm
- Double time for weekend work
