We are seeking a hands-on Sprinkler Design / Project Engineer to join our Repairs Division. This role is ideal for someone experienced in delivering small works such as retail fit-outs, minor refurbishments, and system modifications.
This opportunity would suit a Design Engineer who is confident using AutoCAD 2D and hydraulic calculation software, and is looking to progress into a more project-focused role.
The Role
As a Sprinkler Design / Project Engineer, you will take ownership of small-scale sprinkler system projects from design through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing minor installations, system upgrades, and remedial works
- Producing and reviewing technical drawings and specifications
- Coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Attending site visits, client meetings, and project handovers
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Preparing risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH documentation
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to continuous improvement
About You
You will bring:
- At least 3 years’ experience within the fire sprinkler industry
- Knowledge of industry standards such as BSEN 12845, BS9251, NFPA, or FM Global
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and hydraulic calculation software (e.g. FHC)
- Revit experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
