Role Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Fire Surveyor to join their field-based team, covering London and surrounding areas, primarily within the M25. The role will involve carrying out detailed fire safety surveys, producing accurate reports, and supporting the specification of compliant remedial works. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal delivery teams, playing a key role in ensuring surveys are technically robust and commercially viable. This position offers strong earning potential and long-term career progression.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fire safety surveys across commercial, residential, and mixed-use premises
- Assess existing fire protection measures against current legislation and British Standards
- Identify non-compliance and produce clear, accurate survey reports and specifications
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to clients following site visits
- Support internal operations and project teams by accurately scoping required works
- Maintain accurate records, drawings, and survey data using company systems
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements and internal procedures
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Stay up to date with changes in fire safety legislation and industry best practice
Key Requirements / Skills
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a fire surveying, fire safety inspection or Fire Engineer role
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and relevant British Standards
- Experience surveying fire doors, passive fire protection, or broader fire safety measures
- Ability to produce professional, well-structured written reports
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the M25 region
Desirable Requirements
- Recognised fire safety qualifications or professional certifications
- Experience working within a service, compliance, or project-led fire protection environment
- Familiarity with digital surveying and reporting systems
