Refrigeration Engineer
Watford / permanent / £47,000 Per annum
Industrial Refrigeration Engineer (Chillers / Food & Laboratory Sites) | Watford | Up to £48,000 per annum (inclusive of door-to-door travel pay)
Responsibilities:
- Service, maintenance, and repair of industrial refrigeration systems, including chillers, cold stores, and process cooling systems
- Work on client sites such as laboratories, food production facilities, and industrial plants
- Diagnose system faults and carry out repairs to minimise equipment downtime
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to emergency breakdowns
- Accurately complete service reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
- Ensure work is carried out safely and to relevant health & safety and environmental standards
- Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism while representing the company on-site
Requirements:
- Experience working on industrial refrigeration systems, particularly air- and water-cooled chillers
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
- F-Gas Certification (Category 1)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Comfortable covering a regional area around Northampton
Desirable:
- Ammonia (NH?) system experience – advantageous but training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Experience working in GMP environments, food factories, or cleanroom settings
- Electrical or control systems knowledge
- CSCS or relevant health & safety certification
