Our client is a well-established fire protection specialist with a turnover of approximately £5+ million, delivering high-quality fire detection, suppression and PAVA solutions across London and the surrounding regions. The business is known for its technical expertise, strong client relationships and consistent delivery across complex, regulated environments.Role Summary
The Project Manager will take ownership of multiple small to mid-value fire systems projects, typically ranging from £80k to £500k, from initiation through to final handover. Working alongside two senior Project Managers who oversee larger projects (£1–2m), this role focuses on managing smaller teams, programmes and budgets while ensuring compliance with fire regulations and client SLAs.Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple fire systems projects from order handover through to final completion and certification
- Take full responsibility for project budgets, cost control and margin protection
- Coordinate design development for fire detection, suppression and PAVA systems
- Plan and manage programmes, labour resources and subcontractors
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and internal stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs
- Oversee procurement of materials and manage supplier performance
- Chair project meetings and provide regular progress and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with relevant fire standards, legislation and company procedures
- Manage commissioning, client training and final handover documentation
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within fire detection, fire suppression or PAVA systems
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in the £80k–£500k range
- Strong understanding of fire industry standards, regulations and compliance
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and project costs
- Ability to manage site teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Strong organisational, communication and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Requirements
- Industry qualifications (e.g. FIA, NEBOSH, Prince2 or similar)
- Experience working on projects across London and the South East
- Background in design coordination or technical fire engineering support
