Mechanical Project Manager – AC / VRF Systems | Birmingham | Up to £60,000 + company car | Permanent | Full-time

An established and growing specialist HVAC contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with strong knowledge of air conditioning and VRF systems to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Project Manager to deliver high-quality mechanical projects across the commercial sector, working with modern AC and VRF technologies from pre-construction through to handover.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Mechanical Project Delivery
  Managing AC and mechanical projects from planning and design coordination through installation, commissioning and final handover.

• Technical Oversight – VRF & AC Systems
  Providing technical leadership on VRF/VRV and commercial air conditioning systems, ensuring installations meet specification and quality standards.

• Commercial & Programme Control
  Managing budgets, programmes, variations and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Client & Site Management
  Acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and site teams, maintaining strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

• Health, Safety & Compliance
  Ensuring all works are delivered in line with current health & safety legislation, company procedures and industry best practice.

About You

• Proven experience as a Mechanical or HVAC Project Manager.
• Strong working knowledge of air conditioning systems, particularly VRF/VRV.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and programmes.
• Confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant industry qualifications (SMSTS, F-Gas, HNC/HND or equivalent) desirable.
