Project Engineer

A well-established specialist engineering contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to join their growing team in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging mechanical and electrical installation projects, supporting delivery from initial planning through to completion.

This role would suit an organised and technically competent individual with experience in building services, mechanical and electrical installations, and project coordination.

The Role

• Supporting the delivery of mechanical and electrical installation projects across multiple sites

• Procuring materials and coordinating specialist subcontractors within the supply chain

• Reviewing technical designs and ensuring installations meet project specifications

• Monitoring installation and testing activities to ensure quality and compliance

• Carrying out risk assessments and implementing effective risk control measures

• Supporting health, safety, and environmental compliance across all project activities

• Assisting with project planning, including resource and site safety requirements

About You

• Experience in a Project Engineer or similar role within building services, M&E, or construction

• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical installations

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and review design information

• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing project documentation

• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements on site

• Proficient with AutoCAD and estimation or project software (desirable)

• Relevant qualification such as BTEC/HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering or similar (desirable)
